Advancing National 30X30 Strategies in Amazon-Andes

Date Awarded 12/2021 Amount Granted $20M Programs Conserving & Restoring NatureandEnvironmental Justice Partners Wildlife Conservation Society Countries Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru TheWildlife Conservation Societywill support Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia to develop and operationalize national 30x30 strategies; strengthen existing protected areas, other conserved areas, and communal lands in a suite of highly-biodiverse landscapes; designate new conservation areas within these landscapes and beyond; and consolidate an enabling environment for greater direct access by partnering with Indigenous Peoples and local communities to direct financing and other resources.
